Curiosity Rover, launched by NASA in 2011, collected data and gathered information. After analysing them, the scientists discovered that heavy floods occurred in the equator of Mars 4 billion years ago, they also found in their research that abundant amount of ice melted due to meteorite activtiy and resulted in those heavy floods.This new discovery signals about the possibility of existence of life in the red planet.
400 करोड़ साल पहले मंगल ग्रह पर ज़बरदस्त बाढ़ आई थी – क्यूरियोसिटी रोवर
नासा के क्यूरियोसिटी रोवर जिसे सन् 2011 में लांच किया गया था, उसके द्वारा एकत्र किए गए आंकड़ों से वैज्ञानिक इस नतीजे पर पहुंचे हैं कि मंगल ग्रह के भूमध्य रेखा (इक्वेटर) पर 400 करोड़ (4 अरब) साल पहले बहुत ही जबरदस्त बाढ़ आई थी, साथ ही इस बात की भी जानकारी मिली कि उल्का पिंड की वजह से बहुत भारी मात्रा में बर्फ पिघली और इसी वजह से यह बाढ़ आई थी । इस नई खोज से यह इशारा मिलता है मंगल ग्रह पर जीवन मौजूद होने की संभावना है।
